Only the data we need to run the service.
This policy explains which account, payment, file and access data EduQuill collects, what we use it for, how long we keep it and the choices you have. We do not sell personal information and we do not run ads.

Payments handled by the payment provider
We keep order references and payment status — never full card numbers or payment credentials.
IP addresses erased after 90 days
Server logs are kept for 14 days; IP records used for security and limits are erased after 90 days.
1 · Collection
Information we collect
- Account details: email address, password hash, session data, membership status and plan history.
- Payment records: order IDs, payment provider, payment status, timestamps and payment-notification metadata.
- File metadata for files you upload: filename, size, content type, storage status, share-link status and timestamps.
- Access logs: file identifiers, IP address, user agent, timestamps, allowance usage and error events.
- Cloud drive connection and third-party sign-in data (see section 3).
- Messages you send us about support, copyright complaints, your account or legal requests.
2 · Use
How we use information
To create and secure accounts, store your files, create share links, verify payments and activate memberships, apply allowances, prevent abuse, troubleshoot downloads and cloud saves, answer support or legal requests, and keep the service reliable. We never use file activity for marketing.
3 · Connections
Cloud drives and third-party sign-in
If you sign in with Google, we receive only your email address and basic account identifier, used to create and sign in to your EduQuill account.
When you connect Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive, EduQuill can reach only the files it creates or its own app folder — it cannot see anything else in your drive. We write only the files you choose to save.
The connected drive account's email and an encrypted authorization token, used to finish saves in the background.
Disconnect from your account page and we delete the stored token and revoke our access with the provider.
EduQuill's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
4 · Payments
Payments
Payments are handled by third-party providers. We store the payment status and order references needed to activate and audit memberships, but never full card numbers or complete payment credentials.
5 · Sharing
Cookies and limited disclosure
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in, protect account actions and keep the service secure. Blocking them may stop sign-in or account features from working.
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information and we run no ads. Service providers that help us operate — payments, hosting, security and support tools — receive only the minimum they need. We disclose information otherwise only when valid legal process requires it or to protect users, prevent fraud or respond to security threats.
6 · Retention
Retention and security
We keep information only as long as reasonably needed to run the service, keep payment records, stay secure, meet legal obligations and handle disputes. IP addresses recorded for security, abuse prevention and download limits are erased after 90 days; administrator audit records keep them for 12 months. Server logs are kept for 14 days. Data travels over HTTPS/TLS and is stored with providers that encrypt it at rest. Like any internet service, no system can guarantee absolute security.
7 · Your choices
Access, correction and deletion
You may contact us to access, correct or delete your account information where applicable. Some records may need to be kept for payment, fraud-prevention, security or legal reasons.
